Have you ever gotten so busy in life that you couldn’t get back to hobbies that once gave you absolute joy?
Have you ever found yourself wishing for just a few extra hours a day just so you could get back to them?
That was me.
And that hobby was reading.
I started working pretty early in life and two years in, I decided to start my own company.
But entrepreneurship comes with its own challenges. For me, it was balancing ‘building my company’ and ‘reading’. And just as any other Founder would, I stepped away from reading to find those extra hours of hustle or rest.
That changed in 2021.
As I scaled the company, the introvert in me started to seek ways to relax without needing to step out every time and that came to me through books.
Just Everyday Reads started out as a really simple Instagram page so I could keep track of the books I was reading, what I felt about them and if I would recommend them to anyone I knew. That’s all it was – before it turned into something that helped drive my hustle even more.
From thrillers that gave me a ‘break’ from business to self-help books that helped me find myself and books on business that gave me the direction I needed, I got back to them all. And I haven’t stopped!
But maintaining an Instagram page or recording books on Goodreads wasn’t enough for me. So the marketer in me decided to start a blog and now you’re reading it.
I don’t guarantee the best of reviews or plot reveals here. But I do promise to share what’s worth knowing from the books that I have actually read!
If you’re a fellow reading enthusiast, welcome to Just Everyday Reads. I look forward to helping you build a book stack you really enjoy reading.
